MLB: The beat goes on - WS winning manager Cora out as Red Sox manager

Had to happen. He was bench manager in Houston during the height of the scheme, the bench manager is the majordomo of the squad during games.

So he imported those talents. Must have been interesting behind the scenes when the Sox and 'stros played those playoff games, they either called a truce and played it straight up or maybe went to Defcon One with satellite cameras.

Came back to add a link.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him get kicked out of baseball for life. It's that serious, and he's that culpableā€¦

Did Cora bring the scheme to the Red Sox in 2018? So when the Astros and Sox were playing each other, it was even?

Really, they don't even need a special set-up. Just watch the TV play-by-play. The catcher's signs are clearly visible on most pitches, and the announcers themselves are calling them.

The announcers have the benefit of seeing the camera feed. None of the players or management staff are supposed to see the feed shot by a telephoto lens and then rewinded and played back and analyzed. The players and staff are only supposed to used their eyes. No aid of binoculars either.

Cora will get the biggest punishment since he perpetrated this in two places.

As a Red Sox fan, he had to go.
No room in pro sports for that type of action.
