Pic please? I don't recall anything like that?

San Antonio, TX (in the old city)

“Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented." - Eli Weisel

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." - Theodore Roosevelt (1918)

"I don’t want to see religious bigotry in any form. It would disturb me if there was a wedding between the religious fundamentalists and the political right. The hard right has no interest in religion except to manipulate it." - Billy Graham 1981

"Politics and governing demand compromise. But these Christians believe they are acting in the name of God, so they can't and won't compromise" - Barry Goldwater

I can't find a picture. They are used in almost every cafeteria-style restaurant around here for side dishes like greens, peas, beans, macaroni, cobbler, okra, etc. They are white china and have a beefy rolled top edge. I'm guessing they hold about 2 ounces.

Try Sysco, the restaurant supply place. They sell everything you need for a restaurant from the walls inward and from the floor up. I got the exact same "pepper grain"-patterned plates and bowls that you see at Denny's from Sysco when I worked there.

Some areas have a Sysco Cash & Carry location that is open to the public, as far as I know most don't, but if you know a restauranteur or caterer you can order through them. Or just call your local Sysco and see if they'll sell you something directly without setting up a full-on account.

The downside of getting plates or glassware from Sysco is that most things come in packs of 36, but that can vary by item. The plates and bowls I got were from a couple of cases that were damaged and incomplete, so I was able to buy only 4 of each.

Also, Sysco is not cheap by any means, but the stuff is honest-to-God restaurant quality and is dang-near indestructible by any normal means.

These are not ramekins. They are a little small and have curved sides and beefy top rims.

I think you're looking for nappie bowls.

Search Amazon. There are lots.

If you've got one nearby, Bed Bath & Beyond carries them sometimes. My guess is that a good Macy's will have them, too.

You're looking for a wider rim?

Like this?

That would be a generic rolled edge rimmed soup or salad bowl.

That's way too big. These are what individual servings are scooped into at cafeteria restaurants and put on your tray. Then you take them off the tray at the table and put them on the table individually.

I have always called them monkey bowls. I think I learned that from someone who worked in my college foodservice.

It has a beefier rim and is beefier all over and has a little lower profile. That one would work just fine.
