More proud of this simple iTunes hack than I should be

Listening to audiobooks while rowing, driving, or walking to work (No, I don't really row to get to work.), is an effective way to multipurpose (at least, I think so).

I link all the tracks from one CD when uploading to iTunes. That way I can still leave the Random feature on for music, while listening to 60+-minute sections of the audiobook.

Some audiobooks don't announce the end or beginning of one disc. On an iPod Shuffle, the transition can be so seamless that it takes a chunk of time to recognize that the track has started over.

After pondering how to use Audacity to place an announcement to mark the end of each track, I realized I just needed to make one universal file that would announce the end of the previous track. Then, I realized even that was not necessary. For each audiobook, I just include a song. (currently "Spinning Wheel" by Blood, Sweat, and Tears). When the music begins, I know I've listened to that session's audiobook.

Again, I really shouldn't be that proud of myself for figuring this out. However, I marvel at how complicated and time-consuming my initial approach would have been.
