Help with Brother All-in-one setup

I received my MFC-J5945DW and so far I like it but I'm struggling with the setup. The iPrint&Scan app works great. I can can scan to iPhoto, OCR to TextEdit, Scan to a file etc with no problems. But from the printer itself if I select SCAN->TO PC->ANY OPTION it says "No PC Found". I've been googling but haven't solved the problem. Suggestions?

you need to install Control Center on your Mac or PC to accept incoming scans.

But I would not bother. Easier to just scan from the Mac. You have better control of the options.

what space-time stated.
I just reach over, load the ADF or put the item on the glass, and do it
from the Mac. My MFC-J825DW is on wired net via Gig-Switch.
Might work differently using USB or Wi-Fi direct to the Mac.

btw, If you correctly installed the Brother Mac software package,
ControlCenter should already be installed.

How to open ControlCenter - Macintosh

Also, if you've installed the drivers, you can use Preview to scan etc from the Mac.

Great tip sekker, that's one I overlooked (I use it all the time).
