Homeland on the tellie

just started S01 of Homeland.
While the players are quite good, and the direction and look certainly don't fail, I find the writing weak and full of holes.
Anyone watch this that can say it's worth sticking with?
So hard to find anything that comes to the level of Breaking Bad.
Recently completed the S02 of Secret City which I thought was pretty good.

Tried Living with Myself, Dead to Me, Pine Gap and Project Blue Book.
Gave up on all after a few eps, or in the case of Pine Gap, the season.
Mostly because of weak writing. Seems like a lot of shows get lit for a pilot and can't follow up after that.

Stumbled on Crashing, pre Fleabag Phoebe. Pretty nutty too.

The Morning Show got off to a rough start, but came together little by little and stuck out the whole season. Very Good.

If you haven't seen Divorce Italian Style (aka Divorzio all'italiana) with Marcello Mastroianni from the 60s. You should.

Nothing comes close to Breaking Bad. I liked both Homeland and Mad Men a lot though. Also, its "telly", not "tellie."

"In science it often happens that scientists say, 'You know that's a really good argument; my position is mistaken,' and then they would actually change their minds and you never hear that old view from them again. They really do it. It doesn't happen as often as it should, because scientists are human and change is sometimes painful. But it happens every day. I cannot recall the last time something like that happened in politics or religion." (1987) -- Carl Sagan

Never saw Breaking Bad, but thought Homeland was decent. Outlander worth watching also.
