Short Skirt, Long Jacket (and élan)

This is a ~4:00 video tribute to one of my favorite TV characters from a unique TV show - Mrs. Peel of The Avengers.

She followed Honor Blackman in the role of John Steed's partner in Good.

I really like the song, first heard by me as the theme on Chuck.

Chuck's Mrs. Peel was Yvonne Strahovski, who had a certain élan herowndamnself.

I love it. Dianna Ring was absolutely gorgeous, and funnt to boot.

"In science it often happens that scientists say, 'You know that's a really good argument; my position is mistaken,' and then they would actually change their minds and you never hear that old view from them again. They really do it. It doesn't happen as often as it should, because scientists are human and change is sometimes painful. But it happens every day. I cannot recall the last time something like that happened in politics or religion." (1987) -- Carl Sagan

cake is a cool band, with some catchy stuff -- but it all sorta has the same feel big horn feel.

the I like Comfort Eagle, but also enjoy Motorcade and Fashion Nugget.

Prob the only music have actually bought in the last 20 years.

Very cool! While "Short Skirt, Long Jacket" isn't my favorite Cake song, that video actually improved my perception of the song.

On the subject of Cake songs, my favorite is "Stick Shifts And Safety Belts"-
[www.youtube.com]

On the subject of Cake (the band) in general, Weird Al chose to parody their general style rather than a specific song with "Close But No Cigar"-
[www.youtube.com]

Seriously, haven't we all known someone like that? If the animation style looks familiar, that's because it was done by John Kricfalusi of Ren & Stimpy fame.

Back in the day, Ms Rigg was a hottie. Sadly, the years have not been kind to her.

To be fair, she is 81, and most of us are a mere shadow of our former killer good looks by then.

I agree, as I look into the mirror of my nearly 62 y.o. self.

I always thought she was hot, and she could kick really high! Young Rick-o was addicted to that show mainly because of her. emoticon_love
