I have an angle on how I might be able to buy some TP early Friday morning. Does this count?

Buying a new house, and retiring from my J-O-B after 26 years with FedEx!

and... I don't have the flu!

I've been setting up a new (to me) imac and trying to get into the 64-bit only world. Things are going well.

There's beer in the fridge!

But then again, I don't drink.
Hmmm, better try again.

There's ice cream in the freezer!

Yeah, that'll work.

I'm seemingly SARS-CoV-2 free (for now). For me, that's VERY good news. My 87 year old mother, who JUST had heart surgery last month AND came down with bronchitis a few weeks ago, is seemingly also SARS-CoV-2 free. Keeping fingers crossed.

But really, these kinds of events put everything else in perspective. Makes you more appreciative of the simple pleasures in life... could be like the pretty bird that bfd posted in a thread a few posts down, how nice the weather is outside, how good food tastes, etc.

Daughter starts virtual school tomorrow.

Hoping to close in on very challenging, long term work difficulty today.

Found a great new celtic-jazz group, "Moving Hearts" 5 stars!

We're all still well. Daughter was lonely doing her Apple work at home from her apartment in Seattle, has moved back home with us for the time being. Wife, a teacher, will be teaching her ESL students online from home. Son just finished building his gaming W10 box, so he'll be burning up some watts here too. These two kids are both in their 20s and need their space, so I'm VERY glad now that we finished off our basement years ago, doubling the floor space in our little rancher.

My local government representatives (health officers, etc) have stepped up to take aggressive action to nip the epidemic in the bud instead of waiting until too late.

My enforced working at home means that I spent the morning in my bathrobe and have 24/7 access to the cookie jar.

All of my family is healthy so far.

"In science it often happens that scientists say, 'You know that's a really good argument; my position is mistaken,' and then they would actually change their minds and you never hear that old view from them again. They really do it. It doesn't happen as often as it should, because scientists are human and change is sometimes painful. But it happens every day. I cannot recall the last time something like that happened in politics or religion." (1987) -- Carl Sagan

Still LOVING retired life! Easy to “socially isolate” in my RV and, if the feces hits the fan, my house has WHEELS so, I can easily relocate. old fogey smiley

No members of my family will go to bed cold or hungry tonight.
None of us are sick.
We are all (the adults) still able to bring in our usual income while practicing distancing at the same time.
We have well stocked pantries, enough so that we will gladly share with any we know in need.

And we take none of this for granted. We are very, very lucky and thankful.

I bought one of those giant Costco toilet paper packages just a month ago, just because I had used the last of the prior batch; I'd had no idea there would be a run on toilet paper. Thanks to the fortunate timing, my hemorrhoid remains safe from the terrors of newspaper.

Although I am a pessimist, I am married to an incorrigible optimist. We have enough food. We have a nice home.

Winter around here is in its death throes, although there is still some snow on the ground.

Spring is near, and my cannabis will be in the ground soon. I think it's my favorite season.

I have NO debt, and plenty of cash reserves with steady income.

Family is all doing well, with no major illnesses as of this writing.

There are more positives, but I'll stop here.

I actually found food today in two supermarkets by me. We were getting low and I was looking for recipes for cooking styrofoam.

And on a personal note I’m back to recording my music again and just finished laying down a pretty challenging bass part. Now it’s on to playing with some new plugins I have and mixing this tune I started in the early 2000s.

all fine here. No clients seem to be slowing down just yet. But even at 70-80-90% of capacity still fine.

Wife still might be "activated" for testing -- even if its just for line duty.

Shes has 400 hours sick and 400 hours vacation if forced off... but highly unlikely.

Yes, but the ULTIMATE question ... with or without the beans?

I’ve had a lot of positive things in my mind lately...

We both have jobs that are not at risk. He still goes to work (ugh, in the ER!) and I am settled at home. Our industries are going continue to do very well.

The internet is keeping us informed, connected, and even entertained. It makes it much more palatable to stay home for weeks.

We have plenty of food, heat, cuddly animals... the weather is decent and there’s a fair amount of daylight. We can still hike, paddle, ride horses and bikes...

Our moms, and my dad, are taknig it fairly seriously! But also not in a panic.
