101: Posting pics to forum...

Posting pics to forum: I have to admit, I don't know the first thing about it. What is the method on how to do this? I see the "Insert Image URL" above, what is next? Not sure how to create a URL... use DropBox or similar for this?

I removed a teeny resistor from my 2011 MBP while addressing the GPU problem and would love to post a picture of it...

Go to the control center and upload a photo to your files, and link it from there.

It's Under "My Files", or "Edit My Files", or something similar.

Click on "Control Center"
Click on "Edit My Files"
Click on "Choose File"

After that, it's pretty self explanatory.
See how far you go, then come back if you have more specific questions.

I think it was a Borg GPU or even a Vogon one.

I take a screenshot, which are automatically uploaded to DB, and DB generates a link...

Link >> [www.dropbox.com]

Hit the photo icon above, change "www" to "dl" in the URL above and... bingo

You can also change the "dl=0" to "raw=1".

After you upload your picture:

• Right click on your picture in the list of images and choose Copy Link

Then to post it in a thread:

• Click on the tiny Insert Image URL button (with the formatting buttons - mountain with red sun)
• Paste the copied link into the dialogue box and click OK
