A short Hands-On of the MAVIC Air 2 from B&H

I have to say this thing is really calling my name.

Resistance may seem futile, but for the moment I'm ok.

It has some neat specs, the most compelling to me is 4K/60 video.

I'd like to make like the Green Hornet and fly it out of the sunroof of my car, buzz around for a bit, and then fly it back in.

Or have it track me on my bike (within its limitations obviously.

I've been on the verge of buying a drone for a while, and the MAVIC Air has been my primary target. This takes it up a notch. The only thing keeping me away is the number of drone flying restrictions that have come out over the last year or so. I do understand the why of those restrictions but I think that some of them may be a bit too heavy handed.

"In science it often happens that scientists say, 'You know that's a really good argument; my position is mistaken,' and then they would actually change their minds and you never hear that old view from them again. They really do it. It doesn't happen as often as it should, because scientists are human and change is sometimes painful. But it happens every day. I cannot recall the last time something like that happened in politics or religion." (1987) -- Carl Sagan

Bought it yesterday. Upgrading from my three year old Mavic Pro. Pretty excited.

Agreed.

Another problem with that is a lot of local law enforcement apparently don't know those restrictions and that appears t complicate flying them.

Bought it yesterday.

Not helping.

Pretty excited.

Really not helping. But I laugh in the face of Futility and say - keep us apprised!

Because we have become a society that punishes those that behave for the actions of those that can't or don't want to.
