Little Richard, Pt 2

It's already off the front page of the forum, but I wanted to share these for anyone like myself who had never seen them. I'll be honest, while I always appreciated Little Richard's talent, I had never been a huge fan of his music. That is, until it dawned on me that we wouldn't have the Beatles, the Stones or 99% of the other musical artists out there today if it weren't for him and his influence.

Anyway, two interviews (among many) that you might enjoy. This one with Peter Wolf about Little Richard.

And this one with the man himself being interviewed by Tom Snyder.

I've gained new respect for the man and his music.

Many thanks for those links. I had forgotten Tom Snyder, but that was a great interview. And really showed LR just as Pete Wolf described him in person: 'Joyful'.

Little Richard and Bo Diddley were musicians musicians. Those who knew greatness appreciated both, the general public not so much. Both had a tremendous influence on music.

NPR’s All Songs Considered had an episode dedicated to little Richard last week I think. It was really good.
