Getting rid of inadvertent browser page swipes for good

We've all been there. You type a long post or fill out a lengthy browser form, and you accidentally swipe forward or back. Sometimes, you can get back to your original page and rescue yourself, but often you are just out of luck and have to start all over again.

Am I correct that turning off the following settings will take care of this?

System Preferences > Trackpad > More Gestures > Swipe Between Pages

AND (if you use a Magic Mouse)

System Preferences > Mouse > More Gestures > Swipe Between Pages

I assume this is all I need to do, but my kids have some important online tests coming up, and I'd like to be sure they don't have any surprises. They've been burned by this in the past.

Once in awhile I get lost in browser pages Hell, and do have to start over.

And the Magic TrackPad gives me grief not infrequently with it's click links for me without asking while I'm moving the cursor around.

But one feature I really love is the swiping between browser pages.

I would think turning off that feature would mean having to use the cursor on links or on the < and > in the upper left of Safari.
