looking for a fit bit device

I'd like to find an inexpensive fit bit type device.
Heart rate, sleep, pulse O2, walk/ride tracking, ties to googfit or other BT app.
Doesn't have to be the latest. Doesn't need to be Apple as I'm on Android for pho.
Doesn't need to tell me what to strive for, answer my pho, feed the cat or tie my shoes.

My wife got the kids one of those $30 step tracker things from the Amazons. LETSCOM or similar. Probably no good at much of anything, and I doubt anything less than $50 would ever show up on anyone’s “best of Fitbit alternatives” list.

I haven’t shopped any myself, but suspect that if you can give some some features such as BT or the O2 sensor you could at least see if you’ll adjust your lifestyle enough to actually wear one with enough regularity in the first place?

Fritz,

I despise watches and such. So far, the only wearable I can tolerate for any length of time is the Garmin Vivofit

[buy.garmin.com]

For me, I needed something with relatively inexpensive, basic features, lightweight, long battery life and waterproof enough that I didn't have to take it off when showering or giving Little M a bath. The Garmin Vivofit does the job nicely overall.

My only issue is the band doesn't hold up incredibly well. Easy enough to find 3rd party replacements. Batteries are easy to replace, too. Uses off-the-shelf button batteries. I forget which size.

cool, Vivo seems to cover everything. $50 is good.
I dislike wristy stuff too, but if it does the job, I'll get use to it ... or put it on the cat.
how does it do on real time heart rate, sleep, blah, blah, blah.?

Fritz,

Shop around for the best price. Not sure if $50 is a solid deal or not. I used it as a watch more than anything else. smiling smiley

What’s your price range? Fitbit and Garmin have models with the features listed.
Here is an article about Fitbit enabling the feature.

The versa looks like an Apple Watch, but lasts about a week on a charge. Wife used it for swimming. Other than that she uses her Apple Watch. Son has a Garmin Vivoactive 3 he uses for running. I use a Garmin as a watch/tracker/notifications.

What am I missing, from reading the specs it seems like the only thing Vivo can measure is time and steps. Don't see anything about heart rate, pulse, O2 mentioned.

I did, all of these are derived from the Accelerometer (steps) and clock. No mention of pulse and O2.

My wife used to wear a Garmin Vivofit and it was ok. I bought her a Wzye Band and she likes it a lot. She particularly likes that she can control lights and the security system with Alexa through the band. It's $25 plus shipping. I don't think it measures pulse O2.

Yes, it looks like the Garmin Vivoactive 4 ($270) or the Garmin Venu ($300) will meet your requirements. The $50 Garmin Vivofit 4 definitely does not:

Oops…

Well, there's the Apple Watch 3 for $199:
