Does it provide anything that’s not available with the latest Apple TV 4K?

TIA

Deus,

That model has old RCA style AV jacks. There are people who have old Tvs and stereos that still use them. If the Roku is still supported by NetFlix and other streaming providers, someone might be interested in it.

pretty sure that version at least has been dropped by Hulu.
I was just looking at this for my old Roku 2 HD. It has the last firmware it's gonna get.
Fortunately, it looks like Emby made it under the line ... for now.

I like that the Roku is able to be remotely controlled via HTTP.
I use that feature to write bash scripts to control behavior.
I'm not aware of a simple way to control the Apple TV over the network a shell script.

For example to tell the Roku to behave as if I have pressed Select on the remote I enter
url -d '' 'http: //192.168.x.y:8060/keypress/select'
where 192.168.x.y is the LAN address of my Roku.

Similarly
url -d '' 'http: //192.168.x.y:8060/keypress/right'
will act like the Right button on the remote.

I just gave two to my sister in law. They were collecting dust.
