Is there a Mac friendly bookkeeping program out there?

We use Quikbooks for Mac, an old version, they want to charge us a monthly fee to use now.

There has to be a better way. We're a tiny company with no paid employees.

We just need to be able to write invoice and send them and make reports so we can chart our progress.

Thank in advance.

Install Parallels or VMWare on your Mac and an older OS and your old copy of QuickBooks under it.

It is what it is.

You can probably find a more modern quickbooks version on FleaBay. If you have been using it you know the UI. They sold non-subscription licenses until last year I think so search for 2016 or 2019 versions for the Mac. Here is a 2016 version as of 7/12

i bought a new imac last fall but held onto my old one because it can boot into El Capitan which is the last OS my copy of Quickbooks 2011 will run on. perhaps you can come up with a similar solution?

Yeah, no employees for me either, and I prob send out less than 50 invoices a year.

Yet the online self employed is $15 a freakin month.

They could easily have a "tier" pricing, so thos peeps that are generating a million invoices pay more.

I guess its a tax write off... but sheesh.

It's BS.

I can't believe there isn't an easier way. There's a crapload of Macs out there, Facebook can't have a monopoly.

I said it before and I’ll say it again. It may be more than youll ever need but it’s a full accounting program and it’s free.

Gee, you’d think that if you put Mac and free and invoices into, say google, that you’d find something.
