Channels app question

Anyone using the Channels app or Channels Plus? If so, how are you using it and are you happy with it?

The Plus version provides free apps for Apple TV and Fire TV. It also enables DVR features to either your computer or NAS. If I read correctly, you can stream channels from your cable provider as well. This could effectively eliminate the need for cable boxes for each TV if one already has an Apple or Fire TV.

I've been a Channels Apple TV app user for about two years.
They just released a major upgrade this week to Version 4.0
I have a 2011 Mac mini as the recorder working with two OTA antennae (Manhattan high rise building with poor sight lines to signal).
This set up serves two Apple TV 4 in two different rooms.
The system has performed well.
The developers are easy to access via their forum or Twitter.
Set up is now relatively simple and the remote iPhone and iPad apps work well.

I use it with a HDHomeRun with two tuners connected to a simple flat antenna. Channels app is free for iOS on iPhone and IPad. I don’t record live tv, but I could on my computer. If I want to watch live TV I stream on my AppleTV from my phone or iPad.

I have been using Channels app for 4-1/2 years and Channels DVR for 2 years. I'm very pleased with both.
