I just tried the Windows version.
It's quite well done, and so much faster than my Performa 475 (RIP) ever was!

Oh that is great.

I'd still love to have a good PPC emulator for latter-period OS9 games. The good LucasArts stuff never got ported over after the demise of GameSprockets.

UPDATE: Looks like both Basilisk and SheepShaver now support GS. Have to check that out... I think I still have my X-Wing and Dark Forces CDs...

I will have to fire up the OS image with Java installed. Anybody have a copy of Links Golf to see if it works on Mac OS 8.0/8.1?

It should run on the ARM processor‘s too? Yay.

Classila needs os9, right? Otherwise it’d connect to the modern web.

Same here! In fact, I have a burned CD with my pilot files from both X-WING and TIE FIGHTER as well. The only issue would be joystick compatibility.

I used to have a CD with hundreds of custom DARK FORCES levels; spent way too many hours playing those. Wish I still had that one.

I think my favorite non-STAR WARS LucasArts game was Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe. I played that on my old college roommate's PC whenever he'd let me. That game was a blast.

I had SheepShaver going on my sister's Mac years ago for some accounting program she desperately needed. Other than a cool fractal program that I used to play around with, I can't think of anything I'd want to run on the old Mac OS.

I used it a while back to retrieve some Hypercard stacks with info that I othewise would have lost.

No emulation needed... PM7300 w/ 500MHz G3 has native Mac OS 8.1 & 8.6 on its two 9GB U2WSCSI drives.
Yes, a whopping 18GB of internal storage, and a nice, slow CDRW as well..... wanna race?

Gotta give me at least a three day head start.

Wish those games ran on a newer AppleTV as well!

For anyone wondering, SS will of course run 68K code too. No Os above 9.0.4. Since this one uses a 68K emulation it won’t run 8.5.

I can do OS 9 on my Cube, and 7.0.1 on my LC.

I had a bunch of games on the LC's 80MB HD, and were lost when I thought it was corrupted.

Sadly, it wasn't, but I swapped it out for a monstrous 1G Quantum Fireball HD.

But I haven't been able to get it to work. Tells me, " the application that created it could not be found".

JavaSCRIPT, not Java. And it's a standalone app so I don't think you need Java installed. Ironically it does NOT work under 10.9.5 so I couldn't try it...
