I don't think so, it's a discussion of the Apple Business Model.

Their arguments don't hold water, especially the mall analogy. If Apple is a mall owner(iOS Mall) and charges 30% rent for it's facilities it can do that. There are other malls around, Microsoft Mall, Android Mall, etc. They are free to do as they wish with their Malls and people are free to shop wherever they want. Unfortunately, Apple has the nicest mall in the area, is the most convenient, has the most amenities, keeps their shops clean, and makes sure scummy shops(apps) don't open. They curate the experience and only allow the best shops in. Due to this, half the world flocks to the Apple Mall, precisely because of the user experience.

Shop owner Spotify is free to purchase a stall at any mall it wants. It needs to make a business decision on if the Apple mall is worth it or not. Not sue Apple Mall because it can't make as much money there.
