do you read this like I do?

Chicken in freezer defrosted to 33º with power outage.

"Refrigerator Thawing

...
After thawing in the refrigerator, items such as ground meat, stew meat, poultry, seafood, should remain safe and good quality for an additional day or two before cooking.
...
Food thawed in the refrigerator can be refrozen without cooking, although there may be some loss of quality."

Yeah, you can do that but I'd go ahead and cook it if it wouldn't go to waste.

I wouldn't worry. It is safe to eat either way.

33F? That's barely unfrozen. I wouldn't sweat it.

"In science it often happens that scientists say, 'You know that's a really good argument; my position is mistaken,' and then they would actually change their minds and you never hear that old view from them again. They really do it. It doesn't happen as often as it should, because scientists are human and change is sometimes painful. But it happens every day. I cannot recall the last time something like that happened in politics or religion." (1987) -- Carl Sagan

Eat. In most countries eggs aren’t refrigerated in the grocery stores. Neither is milk.

Eat. In most countries eggs aren’t refrigerated in the grocery stores. Neither is milk.

But they don't wash the eggs until they get brought home. Fresh from the chicken's vajayjay, they have a "coating" that seals the pores, keeps in moisture and keeps out bacteria. Here in the states, no one wants to see dried blood or chicken poop specks on their eggs. Thus we need to keep store-bought, mass produced eggs cold.

My partner took a course in chicken-husbandry. We learned all sorts of interesting things. Like little red sunglasses. I had just seen someone find 1,500 hundred of them on Storage Wars, so my partner thought I was a genius, until I fessed up. I got some from eBay and now we have red christmas ornaments!

You can also refreeze after cooking. Package in airtight freezer bags, one-meal size portions, and you won't need to cook for a while.

I was thinking that, but since one bag I refroze and just cooked 1, I saved a portion for me and will drop a portion with my brother who couldn't crack hard boiled eggs.
