Biker Babe

Needed to share this after a rough day...

This is my 100-year-old mother heading out on an 80mph bike ride in east Tennessee yesterday. She is a hell of lady enjoying life

(and for the record, that is NOT me driving)

I guess that's technically a trike, but still, to be doing that at 100 is nothing short of AWESOME!

Way to go! A friend's grandfather was still going out by himself in a skiff to salmon fish at 97. Those Alaskans in Valdez are some tough people.

Good for her.

Which roads in TN allow safe travel at 80mph?

In most states, that's technically a motorcycle, and informally the trike is a subset.

Very cool to be a biker babe at 100.

Are they headed out for beer, or milkshakes/sundaes? We go for afternoon drives in my droptop and just find a pizza or burger joint we have never been too. Or a tavern for their house special whatever.

340 miles NE of Knoxville would be about 2 states away from Tennessee... like Charleston, WV.

I guess I'm going to be the only curmudgeon to suggest she (and he) get a real helmet. Even a 3/4 would be better.
