Looks like it's affecting more the northeast. The hurricanes and tropical storms are keeping the smoke away from SC, I am guessing.

Really enjoying it.

We were sweltering. Now temps have dropped 15 degrees with so much sunlight being filtered. The cool breezes feel great!

...Not happy about why it's happening.

That isn't accurate. According to that graphic, there's no smoke in Seattle. Our AQI is north of 200, so that's not remotely the case. We can see the sun a bit more today, but it's still not safe to be outside or exercise.

The graphic is probably outdated. The sentiment is accurate.

AQI in Wapato WA is currently hopping between 430 and 500.

Here in MI the folks on the radio kept talking about our milky white sky, due to the fires. It DID look a little whiter than normal, but nothing noticeable in our air quality. Seems fresh and clean as always.

Here in SE lower MI, the sky has a "pearlescent" quality to it. No clouds. Sun is shining but the sky is not blue. Noticed it yesterday and today.

Friends in Maryland are seeing it.

We're happy here in Spokane: we're about to drop below 400, down from a peak of 495 yesterday. Portland has it the worst.

Our air quality is good, because the smoke is so high, but what should be a lovely blue sky is a milky color. Last weather report I saw this morning predicted that the haze would last until Friday.

The smoke is at higher elevations so your air quality is good for now.

Saint Cloud, Minnesota, where the weather is wonderful even when it isn't.

We have had white skies and very orange sun rise and sun sets for a couple of days now. Normally we would be looking at deep blue skies in these weather conditions but it they are definitely white. Don't know if the temperature drop is due to the smoke or a cool front making its way through the area. Louisville area

Noticed the sky looking cloudier and hiding the sun late his afternoon. It's here in Massachusetts.

We’re in NH this week, and the sunsets and beautiful blue skies are absent. The clouds are not visible most days. The sky is just kind of gray/white.
