Ring pull tabs were used between 1964 and 1975 (up to 1980 in smaller markets) according to the Brewery Collectibles Club of America. I would guess that specific design was about 1972.

some lazy worker was too lazy to dispose of it properly. I found a glass bottle in the air duct.

I collected beer cans back when I was a teenager. I still have my collection, in boxes in the attic. Probably somewhere around 400-500 cans. I have a few books about beer can collecting, and one of the best places to find old cans in mint condition are in the walls of old houses. As mentioned above, workers would stuff them inside the walls... probably to hide from their boss, or the homeowner, that they were drinking on the job.

I concur with the estimate that it's from the mid 70s.

His hell will be cleaning bottles and cans out of household crevices.

Me too! I thought I was the only one with 500 old beer cans in my attic.

I too have found a beer can in the house during a renovation project. It was behind the fiberglass shower/tub surround. Have a pic, somewhere.

Also found a much older Coke can at a high school that was being renovated. Still have that one somewhere, probably with the pic of the beer can, eh?
