i just sipped the kool-aid. X100T new to me! care to share?

i just purchased my first fuji, a used X100T.

since i am a novice, i will ask those that know more:

what three insights do you care to share about fuji's images/raw/jpg or about the X100 line/X100T?

i am not thoroughly without and fuji knowledge.

i have been trolling fuji forum for years, along with watching YT fuji gear reviews.

why sip the fuji cool-aid now?

i am hoping the X100T will be my new walkabout camera.

presently, i carry a Nikon D750 w/50mm and/or the Ricoh GRII.

my fav ways to work a camera: event/reportage, street, cityscape, some landscape, even a touch of portrait.

any and all insights and thoughts are appreciated.

thumbs up.

Rob -

Haven't gone down the Fujifilm road, though have been tempted. Waiting (and waiting and waiting and waiting) to see how the K-new turns out from Pentax.

Am curious, however, about your thoughts on your GR. -Z

I have some Fuji medium format film cameras.

Absolutely spectacular lenses.

One of them is 6x9 camera. It's utterly simple and a joy to use. It's purely mechanical, and it doesn't even have a light meter.

i ADORE the GRII!

the 2.8 lens is better than it should be: sharp, colorful, contrasty.

handling is fine.

battery pitiful.

the ONLY thing i am not in love with is the 28mm FOV.

for me, it's just a hair too wide, with just too much stuff in the frame.

now when i use this for landscape and cityscape, it is not an issue. i want the breath, i want the width.

but with street, event. and especially with portraits/faces, the 28mm will slightly alter the features on the subject's face.

i am now learning the Fuji X100T's 35mm FOV and whether it will be a better tool for what i need.

i hope the above is helpful.

be well.

I love those cameras. One day when I can figure out where to install a darkroom, I'll hopefully buy one, to go along with my other unused 6x4.5 and 4x5in cameras.....
