Kind of like the old Craftsman warranty.

Kind of like the old Craftsman warranty.

My best purchase ever at Sears was a returned socket set that had a bad ratchet. They knocked a bunch off the new cost. I bought it and then took out the ratchet and asked for a new one. The guy started to object and then realized it was perfectly legitimate for me to get a new one. It wasn't a high value deal but it was satisfying!

Years ago I bought a tool set for the house. Costco had a great deal on a 200+ piece Dewalt set in a case. I didn't think it through completely. Every time I want to simply tighten a bolt I have to lug out this massive 30lb behemoth. A smaller more portable set like the one above would be helpful to have but I'm sure the one socket size I need would be in the big set anyway. Haha.

Not needing any tools at the moment, so will let this deal pass. But how does Husky compare to Craftsman? Not the ones Sears sold the last decade, but ones sold prior to the acquisition by Eddie Lampert to merge it with Kmart.

Also have not yet checked out Craftsman tools since they were purchased by Black & Decker. Anyone bought those?

Been using a Husky set I've had for 15 years or since. Very respectable quality, and I've used it exclusively for auto work, so it's been torqued pretty hard.
