If the fan is blowing properly, I would guess that something is wrong in the refrigerant loop. Either a leak or the expansion valve/orifice is plugged. I would guess $80-$120 to repair, assuming you can find someone that works on them.

Camel says they were briefly $100 ($210 new) on Amazon when that model was discontinued.

Heard they work best raised off the ground. And putting the moisture back into the room sounds like a never-ending exercise does it not?

If you can plumb it to the outside, while ensuring it doesn't draw back in outside air (seal the basement BEFORE insulating it) do so.

It’s not a drain problem. It worked fine until a few days ago. The display showed high values when it started but came down and match other hygrometers in the basement. It did remove a lot of water. Now the drain hose is dry.

Unplug. Pop the cover. Spray wash it off. Then use degreaser and wash it again. Let dry, reassemble, try it again.

I’ve seen this happen with the same symptoms.

If that doesn’t work, it’s done for. These are all disposable, unfortunately.

Exactly. My neighbor owns his own HVAC company and is great about fixing our old Heat Pump system but when our old dehumidifier went out he said toss it. Won't even touch them.
