Be wary of the 6 tools for $200 deals. I got one at Home Depot and the circular saw was only a 5-something inch one.

That one should still cut through a 2x whatever, 1 1/2" nominal thickness. I start switching to Ryobi about 2 years ago and have spent a fair amount at Direct Tool and Home Depot but if someone is just starting out this kit has about anything you'll ever need.

Well was in stock two days ago but looks to out of stock now, it's good deal if they get it back in stock.

ONE+ 18V Cordless 12-Tool Combo Kit with 3 Batteries and Charger $600.

I like the Ryobi ecosystem a great deal, but circular saw is a toy, unfortunately. Good design, good value. Except for that saw.

I get their daily emails because I stopped at their store in St. Augustine last year. There's also one in Daytona Beach. Not bad deals. I can get mostly the same stuff cheaper at a live auction, but there's no warranty whatsoever. But I've never had anything I got at auction not work normally.

I have the 5 1/2 circular saw, it came in a kit from Direct Tools, 6 tools and batteries for $60. I haven't even tried it yet because I have the 7 1/4" Ryobi Brushless circular saw. The blade that came on the 7 1/4" is crap. I just picked up a 2 pack of 7 1/4" 24 tooth Diablo blades last week that they say wakes up these saws.

I'm waiting for another HD Ryobi Days.

I got the brushless 7 1/4” circ saw on clearance at HD, and it does pretty well. Haven’t used it extensively yet, but I could see it being very useful on a deck with lots of 2x4 and decking cuts for tricky corners, etc.
