My 'industrial' Laser-IR Thermometer uses one 9v. But alas, Dollar Tree no longer
sells the Panasonic 9V single pack.
(I have no need for a multi-pack, 2-pack would be OK.)
Checking, Amz, HD, & eBay is, as usual a PITA. Prices range from $2 to $5 each
for a single battery.
(how many 9v battery factories can there be??)

I don't use many of those, except in a Multimeter and smoke detectors. I had Duracells from Costco, Energizer from Amazon, and those Panasonic from Dollar Store or even grocery store. They all seem the same to me, I end up replacing them in smoke detectors well before they run out.

I've been using Dollar General for my battery needs. DG Home is the name, I think. They seem to work as well as the name brands for me.

I use Energizer Ultimate Lithium 9V and sometimes AA batteries.

I avoid Duracell batteries like the plague except for the smoke detectors I've added.

The low battery warning means I won't forget to change them before they leak.

And they will leak.

I haven't used any 9V rechargeables as I don't have a charger for them.

That Klien R1 is cheaper than I would have thought.

My AMZ cheapie was a little less than half the price, and I can't vouch for its accuracy.

I just might grab one.

Thank you for its mention.

Well, from my previously posted experience - I'd have to say Rayovac, assuming they're still available.
"I think my future alkaline battery purchases will be Rayovac from now on - they look to be on their way to lasting nearly twice as long as Duracell and Energizer in the same useage scenario"

We stopped using Duracell 9V in our smoke detectors after two batteries exploded in them. So only Energizers for us. The only thing we use the 9V for is smoke detectors and an exterior garage door keypad that uses one battery every 10 years.

Rayovac. The super cheap option (yellow color batteries) designed for low current draw devices. I used to buy them at Walmart for just a little more than $1 per battery but they no longer seem to carry them. I just found a 4-pack of those same yellow Rayovac 9V for $2.25 at Big Lots.

Since I couldn't find those yellow Rayovacs for a long time, I decided to try some 9V Li-ion rechargeables from EBL. They are of course very expensive but they seem to work well.

About the only thing we have that uses 9V are smoke detectors. I bought like 9 Duracell Procells from Amazon, it's their industrial line. Hope they don't leak as much as their crappy coppertops.

All my battery purchases are rechargeable. The price is roughly the same. Haven’t bought an alkaline in years.
