It's Turkey Thaw Day
That's right. Time to put your bird in the fridge to thaw. Do it today, and it will be completely thawed and ready to roast come Thanksgiving. Wait, and suffer the consequences.

If you forget to heed Steve G's warning, you can always try deep frying that frozen sucker!

Exactly, you do not want the temperature of the raw turkey going above 40 F for any length of time before cooking. Cold water can thaw the turkey almost as fast.

I saw a butterball spokesman on TV . He said as long as the package was not open anywhere you could refreeze a thawed turkey .

Is there a formula, e.g. how long in the fridge for how many pounds?
