What to do with 2 Mac airs (first ones made)

I cannot imagine they would even be worth the postage. However, still have some value as a learning computer. Donate to a charity?

If they are the originals they can go up to 10.7.5. That is going to make them pretty tough to use as most websites won't support secure connections with them.

They COULD be useful as a Chromebook: [eshop.macsales.com]

I've been meaning to try it out on a really old Mac, but haven't had any old ones to use. I'd be interested in them to try that out.

Well, at least with the ChromeOS they will get security updates and be able to browse the web dunno smiley That is the only way they will be useful to anyone. Better than the landfill.

I'd send my hardware back to Apple for recycling before I'd install ChromeOS on it.... But your solution is more practical.

Ten four fox might get you on the web.

We have two of the original series, one with the SSD and another with a hard drive. Both still work although the batteries are weak.

You could, but my second grader can use a Chromebook. Linux on the other hand...not so much.

LOL! But a MBA doesn't have enough mass for that and it might be too thin to wedge underneath the door.
