tracking investments with quicken

I now have my 401k entered into quicken, what is the best way to track the performance? I see there are a few reports but I really don't know what I should be looking for. Any tips would be appreciated.

IRR and ROI reports in Quicken give you most of the info one might want for what that program is.

is there anything on the horizon that may be able to replace Quicken? That program drives me nuts. Had some guy talking up Splash Money to me the other day - he couldn't say enough about it...windoze only though...
