Personally I think it ruins the iMacs lines. it looks like they dropped an LCD panel into a case. I would prefer a white or silver boarder. Thinner bezel would have looked better too.

I think it's purdy. But I would have like a matte option for the screen.

It just makes the screen look bigger and the lighter edges look smaller/lighter. It's a visual cheat.

No it's not a visual "cheat", it's just a better look than a plastic or metal bezel covering the same area.

There has to be a bezel of some nature, though some displays have a smaller one. An aluminum bezel, unless anodized dark, would look heavy and clunky. The "shadow mask" look is the same as found on a lot of LCD TVs.

Also, it dim light it allows one to see onlymainly the display and not be distracted by a bezel. My LaCie had a dark blue case for the same reason, focus on the image, not the box.

Like the 'Phone, I think this display has an elegant look to it, far far nicer than the ACDs.

The keyboard looks like they ran over it with a steam roller... and then charged an extra $20 for the mishap.

I'm anxious to try it out; I like lower-travel laptop-type keyboards. I'll probably stick with my MacAlly iceKey though.
