Anyone try the new iTrip Dock

The new version with the LCD readout and selectable frequencies. I am now on my 4th FM transmitter and they all suck. No good or at least reasonably priced way of getting my iPod into my car's head unit.

I especially didn't like the original iTrip becuase of the complexity of the uploaded an iPod selected frequencies.

The strength of these just doesn't cut it with my imbedded rear window antenna.

If anyone has had good luck or other experiences, I would love to hear.

I have the rear-window antenna as well. I really like the RoadTrip+. It is a single freq xmitter, but it works great. Only had interference once in a trip from VA to CT, including a side trip to Manhattan.

I forget who sells them, though...

I've been using the original iTrip for about 2-3 years now. I find that no matter where you are at, 87.9 is about the only frequency that works.

Occasionally, it is a pain to set or reset the frequencies, but in general not too bad considering what it does for you while driving.

I'll be receiving my 60GB ViPod in a few days and am also wondering about the dock Itrip.

I have not had any luck with the FM Transmitters I've used.

So, I hard wired to my stock unit with an adapter.
Plugs into the aux. wiring harness and provides me with a RCA input. I simply ran a RCA cable up to the center armrest, plugged in a RCA to Mini adapter and now I can play iPod or XM directly into the car stereo without the slight quality loss found in FM.
