Just for occasional basic Word stuff, or looking at Excel spreadsheets at work. I have Office 2004 at home for anything taxing.

probably neo office in my book. I think open office for mac still requires X11, although they are working on doing a native mac port (is there a beta already, perhaps?)

But I like Neo Office a lot.

Just the opposite here. On my G5 iMac, Neo is much faster than the X11 based OO. Love the Neo!!

I installed both on my rickety B&W G3/400 running 10.3.9 at work (512 of RAM and the optional SCSI U2W card and drive) Neo opens faster, first of all. OpenOffice needs to open X11 then OO opens. Takes a fair bit longer. I like the Neo interface a bit better.

Neo is the One.
