anyway to fix a scratch on a crt monitor?

i have a scratch about an inch long and sorta deep on a crt monitor. is there anything i can do to make it not so bad? some sort of filler or buffer? any tips?

If it's on the screen, clear nail polish or equivalent may have positive effect. If not- you can clear it off with nail polish remover. I would not recommend power buffing a CRT to fix a 'deep' scratch- you will weaken the face too much.

yeah, it's right on the screen. maybe i'll try the clear nail polish thing. i have a mini buffer attatchment for my dremel. i was thinking that might be low powered enough to use.

A coat of clear acrylic spray varnish might give more even coverage than brushing on nail polish? If there's an anti-glare coating you might have trouble getting anything to stick. Clean it thoroughly with 91% isopropanol beforehand? Bummer.
