websites for identifying a mac video card?

I have a card that may be from a MDD G4. It has different tabs than the card in my G5 tower.

ATI, dual DVI, no cooling fan, but a decent sized heat sink.

Does it have any Apple branding on it?

Does the PCI/AGP slot plate bend over the side of the card?

ATI Radeon 9600 Pro PC/Mac 256 MB DVI + Dual-Link DVI

Does it not bend over the side?

ATI Radeon 9600 XT 128 Dual DVI or ATI Radeon 9650, both hacked from G5s.

(It's possible the card in your G5 is a Geforce 5200 or Radeon 9800 which use AGP 8xPro connectors, and are thus larger looking).

I'll have to look at the card again when I get home.

the card in the G5 is a Radeon 9800 I believe. huge heat sink with a fan sunk in the center The G5 machine is a dual 2.3. The G5 card has a broken trace on one of the slot tabs, and a broken leg on a cap, but it passed the long hardware test last night, so whatever.... Maybe they control the second video connection?

Just for reference- The Geforce 5200 and the Radeon 9600 64MB (both stock cards in the original G5's) did not have fans. The Radeon 9800 128MB card did.

ATI cards are easy to identify.

On the back is a "102" number.

Put that number in ATI's 102 part lookup form:

Do you like it too, if the work is done before you have to do it?

I do... ;) Look at this picture...

I have the same card and the same questions. I know it is a 96XX, but I want to know if this is a ATI 9600 Single-Link oder a ATI 9650 Dual-Link Card.

Thanks
