Got it. DHL left it at the door (thank goodness).
Stuck it in my BMB. Works. Rebate stuff ready to mail.
Thanks again for the tip!

what is the EXTENSION please.

Thanks

P.S. I don't remember if the extension is written on the package or the chip itself, if it is NOT written on the package, then don't worry about it.

Yeah, I remember your situation, I was about to PM C(-)ris to see if he had anything else to add.
I took the above number off a scan of the UPC-- ain't opening up the mac to get your info-- hopefully someone who has not yet installed their chips can help.

I got lucky ;)

But - back to the RAM: I thought these could only recognize 3GB? I'm not complaining, but am curious...

In the other thread BL mentioned: "Actually it will show 4 GB but only 3.3. will actually be addressed."

See OWC's Performance Testing of iMac Core 2 Duo Memory Configurations for benchmarks.

I've also got a 2.16 C2D iMac ( 24" ) - currently with 2GB of RAM and I'm debating whether or not it's worth it to max it out at this point. Hmmm...it is only $30, and I got this iMac for a song so I guess I'm in... grinning smiley
