The use of variations seems like a bad idea to me.

Q: Describe the Pepsi logo.
A: On which bottle?

How horrible.

Why would they do such a thing? I guess they didn't like having one of the most recognized logos in the world.

This looks more like an Obama logo, although Obama's is better.

Pepsi's new look is HORRIBLE.

The same company thought it was a good idea to redo Tropicana's image and make them look like a generic store brand juice. Oh, and they ditched the iconic straw through the orange image too. Brilliant!

This isn't as bad as Pepsi's new look, but it's not good. They're jumping on the san-serif euro logo bandwagon, about 5 years too late.

EDIT: I forgot to mention to take a look at the orange nipple topper.

i'm always amazed at companies who feel they MUST change their branding to keep up to date. how dumb. i feel as someone above: why change a world-recognized logo to another (even if it is good)?

What's next? Coca Cola ditching their trademark script lettering in favor of Comic Sans?

Looks like they found the typefaces on one of those 1000 TrueType font CDs in the $2 bin at Office Max.

I see that someone from the texting generation must've spearheaded the Mountain Dew identity. Mtn? Really?

Yep, if they're going to label it that way, I'll say it as M-T-N Dew when I order it.
Even on the diets, they felt the need to conserve characters with "0 cal, carb, sug" !

I think it's a sign the younger generation can't spell. ;)

What's the deal with the variable size white in the Pepsi logo? What is it supposed to tell me?

Diet has a skinny line. You'll be skinny if you drink that.
Max has a fat line. You'll be fat if you drink that.

Methinks Nooyi drank too much of the blue koolaide.

They want to escape the mass marketing image.

Earth to Pepsi : it's mass marketed corn syrup water.

I have never been a fan of Pepsi logos. I think it is one reason that I have never been a fan of Pepsi.
