I just had to do a forced restart on my work PC because IT pushed out their latest round of windows patches.
After the restart folding wouldn't start so looked and saw that the 5.91 SMP beta had expired on the 2nd but they put out another version with an extended deadline. I grabbed that and installed it but when I restarted it did not pick up from the 92% completed mark but TRASHED THE WORK UNIT and stared on a new one!!!

So instead of 1760 or 1920 points today I will get a big fat ZERO and there goes my daily average back into the toilet!

Arrrrgggh!

Sometimes I really HATE the IT department.....

Did work give you permission to use company property in that way? Mine forbids it.

I had to bail folding on one of my work XServe machines because it put so much of a strain on the machine that the users connecting to it would actually notice the slow down. Could be that one of those users is just so anal about everything, that even a few second slow down was unbearable. Ba$tard...

XServes are really nice folding machines!

Yes.

All things considered the policy for my company is quite flexible, they will even let you install games (or pretty much anything that you have a license for) on the computers at work! Of course they have a monitoring program installed and keep tabs on everything that is on the machine and can remotely monitor/log what you are doing at any time... One thing that you are not allowed to do is stream music/videos since it eats up soo much bandwidth...
