I sent an e-mail asking why is he doing this to the dealmac forums.

it was only a couple minutes ago, but I'm expecting a very interesting reply.

So, you?

I don't dislike Brian Moon. He is a guy with a job, the job is running one of the web sites I frequent. I wouldn't know him from Adam if I saw him on the street.

Brian was never my "friend" so he can't "hurt my feelings".

as someone who became disillusioned with certain forums long ago - before all the mass disatisfaction occurred, I'll second the comments above that basically say, "let it go."

I will say one thing for DM, at least they're TRYING to fix the on going problems that have plagued it for a long time. Better late than never. I really don't bear DM nor AS any ill will.

I think the key to having a forum succeed is for the admins to be proactive instead of reactive. I hope that the admins here have learned from the mistakes made at other forums.

Vote to remove. :-) (Sorry, I lost my head for a moment there.)

But seriously, I agree that this has gone on long enough. I think we're above that. He did what he did and while we may not have been happy with it, let's get over it and just enjoy what Larry hath wrought.

Lets focus on the positive - this was not started by any means at all to be the anti-dm. Nothing of that sort - although some people seem to have assumed otherwise.

Let the good deals and chat roll. That's what it's about.

As for proactive-reactive. The intent of the admin of this forum will be to be proactively maintaining the reliability and performance of the forum while being _responsive_ to the requests/desires of the community that use it.
