I cooked my first turkey ever. The house did not burn down, fire department was not called, all is well. Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

But was it edible? That is the most important question.

Life changing...

Don't worry too much. It will last longer and taste better the second time.

huh? it's 6:50 PM here on the East Coast, yet your post is showing as 7;35 PM. I wonder if somewhere a server is still on the daylight saving time clock. or if you have a time machine.

Anyway, bon appetite. I am going to cook a turkey tomorrow.

EDIT: I just looked at my forum setting and the DTS was somehow still active. weird. I don't remember that happening last winter.

turkey? yes, indeed you never forget. I was freshly arrived in the US at that time and completely unaware of how a turkey should be cooked, and I bought a frozen one a day before TG, and I didn't pay attention and kept in the fridge overnight, then on TG day around 10 AM I wanted to cook it and I had a hard time opening up the beast to stuff it, it was frozen... I used a hairdryer to thaw it somewhat to allow me to stuff it, then we shoved in the oven and 5-6 hours later we ate it, amazingly we didn't get sick
