You had me confused. I didn't notice the link went to DM and I kept thinking that I had not seen this post today. All better now-nevermind.

It's going to give me a good chuckle, and that is always good for my life.

blusubaru, I noticed because the names are blue there and red here. That was what tipped me off. Thank goodness for the different colors.

...Life is like a box of chocolates... only... we don't have anything fancy like chocolates... just this cornmeal, and a shovel... oh an' a iPod fer Mary fer Christmas.

We try an' raise our kids right... no swearin' or cussin' or cursin'

LOL

Thanks for a good laugh, that's one of the best I've had in a long time

I do notice a lot of new users over there, but I can't tell how many of them are really "new", versus just reinvented personas of previously existent persons. Also, I've toyed with the idea of inviting specific people over here, but given how that's gone over previously over there, I've opted not to do so.

Someone invited me over here or I'd have never found this place. Anyway it made it easy to find. Jimmypoo had already told me that Larry/OWC was probably going to start a replicate Forum, so it really wasn't that much of a surprise to me. The big surprise is, of course, how many switched, and so quickly too!

That is a sick little world over there anyway. I find myself not even opening the DealMac Daily when it comes into my mailbox. I guess next is deleting my profile there, and unsubscribing from the mail list. Who would have ever thought it would come to that?

rex, I've come to the conclusion that we need more women over here.

Preferably, single women!

PeterB you have my vote on that idea! I thought there's a couple of them here already, but as to their singularity...I have no idea. Now you've got me thinking. Oh heck, this Internet thing is so confusing.

Is any of this really real? I mean, it's just cyberspace, right?

I didn't recognize the style. I figured the kiddies on the hotline server were behind it, having themselves a good little snicker.

I suffer from the same sensitivity that you do. A few nuggets of wisdom were shared with me and I'm "trying" to incorporate them into my life. First, remember that nobody can hurt your feelings unless you let them. You can always reject what is being forced on you emotionally.
Second, nothing changes unless you change it. If you don't want the behavior to be repeated then you need to take action. Otherwise the kid has learned that his behavior is the way to get things done, because everyone lets him get away with it.
In the meantime I sympathize because I've been there.

I do -- those posts have Rusty's fingerprints all over them. He's used the "I'm new to this forum" routine before more than once. The writing is a little more coherent then usual for him, but that's easily modulated.

It is what it is.

Animosity towards the Hotline crowd? Wassamatta? They tease you over there?
