have you ever sold/bought sports tix on the internet?

I'm trying to get rid of my tickets for the Skins game next weekend. I usually sell to people around the hospital, but these are going to go for way too much (playoff implications and all-- I feel "bad" about putting signs up asking for that kind of money, people start bitching that the doctor is trying to get money out of them).

I know and have seen the dozens of places on-line to sell tickets. Has anyone used any of them-- good or bad recs?

Thanks

Jard

I've bought tickets off craiglist before. They were listed there, paid in person.

A former coworker bought and sold some Cubs tickets here:

He was pleased, but I have no personal experience using the site. I also don't know the fee structure.

Good luck-

You are allowed to sell redskins' tix for above the posted value.

I just bought 4 off-the-glass tickets to the Mighty Ducks game from eBay last night. Actually, it was an auction that ended without buyer and I was able to contact the seller through an active auction. Went quite smoothly.

Ducks won 5-4

I bought regular season Yankees tickets on CL last summer from a very nice season ticket holder Upstate who wanted to unload some of the games she couldn't make it to. I got them for less than face value and they were fantastic seats to boot.

I've sold tix on eBay before to The Dead 2 years ago. He did Buy-It-Now for not too much over face value and we met 1/2 way to transer tix and cash. Didn't have to deal with PayPal fees that way. All went smoothly.

If eBay is too much of a hassle for you, Craigslist is the way to go. Lot's of success on both sites. With Craigs you'll have to answer ALOT of eMails from people with questions and lowball/screwball offers. And unfortunately you may get a no-show buyer. To save time and headache, always get a phone number and have the buyer come to you to purchase/pick-up the tickets. GoodLuck!

Just a thought. Can you get some good PR out of a short notice charity auction?
