Here is a picture of our Christmas tree all decked out for the holidays. Just thought I'd share, you could, too.

Pretty!

One of the best things about shacking up with a non-Jewish guy was that we had a tree. I used to put Jewish star garland on it and we had a Star of David on the top.

Having a tree is one of the only things I miss about that non-Jewish BF. smiling smiley

This is the extent of my Christmas decorations. My grandmother had these festive doorknob cozies all over the house when I came to live with her. This one was confiscated from the bathroom doorknob because it hindered entry. I'd take it off & she'd put it back so I finally hid it in my room & came across it years later, long after I'd moved.

The FeatherCraft things are decals I cut at work for a friend's boat. Pretty tree Rebecca. Martha would be proud!

Very nice Stephanie. I love the way the doggies are looking right at the camera.

dmann,
My husband is Jewish but he insists that we have a tree every year. Actually, we are a very secular family-not religious at all. We will however, celebrate almost all holidays that involve presents and lots of good food. smiling smiley

DaviDC,
I'm sure your Grandmother would be proud to see Santa Bear cozie displayed at this time of year. I don't blame you for taking it off the door to the potty. You don't want to have to fight with a Santa cozie when you've really gotta go.

thanks rgG. It took about 20 photos of semi-blurry doggies to get a halfway decent shot. A split second after the photo, Misty darted off to see if the mysterious hand telling her to "stay" held any treats.

Stephanie, try it with cats. They usually just look off, or look at the camera after it flashes. I have gotten a few good ones out of many bad ones. Best to catch them sleeping-see below. smiling smiley

Mrs. Poochie was thinking about putting up one of these trees for Christmas:

rgG- I know how he feels! My sister's husband isn't Jewish and they put up their tree last week. She said it smells so good and looks so pretty. I can't wait to see it.

Tomorrow I start cooking latkes (potato pancakes) for our family Hanukkah party. I have to say, the smell of oil that permeates my apartment and lingers for days is no match for a live Christmas tree. smiling smiley

THAT'S THE SPIRIT WE NEED MORE OF IN AMERICA!

Inclusive and high-spirited, not divisive and hateful.
