I was dozing in front of the TV this evening when NBC started trumpeting its all Jay, all the time forthcoming programing. Which they claim "you" asked for. Did you? Did you ask for this? Because if that's the case, I've got a bone to pick with you.

I believe they were speaking to Jay himself; he asked for it.

A lot of people are running around talking about what a disaster this is going to be, but I have a feeling it's going to work out much better than they're expecting.

I seriously can't remember the last time I watched anything on NBC. It's probably been years. I haven't watched the network news (on any network) since the early 90's, NBC's entertainment shows are awful, they long-since ruined the Olympics, and I hate Notre Dame.

It will work out OK for Jay and for NBC because there is an audience that likes him but won't stay up later than 11PM to see him. That audience will be delighted to make Jay a regular part of their evening.

I'm a little disappointed to see NBC essentially give up on trying to produce quality scripted programming. But, on the other hand, they have not had anything after 10PM that I've enjoyed in more than a decade, so I'm not actually losing anything.

It's amazing that some of the cable networks can show some really good original programming, but the big 4 just have so many misses.

...SNL live on.

I don't understand how. NBC has tossed a lot of good programs because they don't instantly deliver monstrous numbers. And they have very few (if any) decent shows.

Don't do this to what is left of my brain. I spent too much time trying to remember the name of the 50's show "You Asked For It". Thanks to Wiki, I had the last name right Baker, they supplied the Art. It was very popular and we watched it on our "Mad Man" Muntz Tv.

I think it will do well. It will be a perfect show for when you feel lazy brained, and let's face it at 10 pm lots of us are exactly that.
