Good Xmas present for wife

And it's not hookers and booze, because that just seems so one-sided, if you know what I mean. And I suck at buying jewelry. I'm thinking a Nano or some Mac stuff, but already has an old 'pod and machines.

I bought my wife a puppy for Christmas.

Now there's a gift that keeps giving...

But that was the easy part. She gets to take out said fur ball when it wakes up in the middle of the night.

My standbys are Brighton watches, clothes from a nice store like Ann Taylor (my daughter helps), James Avery.

But then again, one year she returned EVERY single gift I bought and exchanged them.

Not necessarily... [have not] but you did not specify when, perhaps she wanted him to do something but he did not do it LATELY. I think using [have not] in such circumstances is appropriate.

What I meant is something he has [never] done; in the examples below you add the [until now] bit, in that case [have not] does equal [never]

but if you read the original message, the [until now] bit is not there, so [never] supersedes the [have not].
