Refurb Mini9 arrives and is new

Received refurb white Mini9 in "fancy" box (no outer box) and it was brand new with nothing opened and no "refurb" sticker on the bottom. Picked up a black "scratch and dent" last week for a friend and with a little wax job on the top it has no scratches or dents. Both will be "upgraded". Friend is a writer and uses Mellel software. Is it a memory hog? Posting this from my macbook. Total score in house is Mac 4-Dell 2. IBM P3 laptop hangs out in the woodshop as a music server.
Make that 5 Macs as I haven't sold my MMD tower.

Isn't it nice when Dell gives you a silent upgrade?

Price was $289 and included 1g/8g which is the normal for new. Bluetooth and .3 camera. Ubuntu OS. Today's webpage looked like a clearance sale. A white with 2g/16 for $289. Lots of overpricing though. My first one is in South Australia with the wife and getting lots of looks. I put a leopard skin over the top lid, but it has a hole for the Dell logo to show. Don't want to attract too much attention.
