Just downloaded and used Safari 4. It seems to load pages very fast.

I used Safari when it was first released and then switched to FireFox. Now I am thinking of switching back.

Safari is broken.... still has too many security holes for my taste...

I'm actually liking the new Safari 'artwork browser' way of looking at bookmarks. It's pretty cool for visual memory people. My wife looked at it and said - ooh, that makes sense !

. . .Spiderman but Spiderwoman (the original one - not the one that was with the Avengers) is a close second. . .

. . .not a fan of the Black Widow though. . .

Still has validation and JavaScript holes according to a friend of mine that is a security researcher at Apple...

None right now.
I use Firefox, Camino, Omniweb, Safari, Opera most everyday.
What I do is use one per TYPE of thing I'm doing; or per internet 'personality', since Twitter and such has issues with multiple account on ONE browser.

I see.

So which browsers have you been able to confirm as safer?

In order of use:
1. Seamonkey 90%
2. Camino 9%
3. Safari 1%

For some reason, there are pages which Seamonkey can load without errors, that will crash Camino and confound Safari

OK, now that I finally have Safari working again... here is my rank order:

1. Camino
2. Safari
3. Firefox

Safari has indeed gotten a lot faster, and maybe even slightly faster on my machine than Camino, but I still prefer Camino's interface to Safari's.

I'm using Camino and have been for a while.

Safari 3.2.1 had more trouble with sites and seemed to crash more, and Firefox on the Mac is just a major disappointment to me.

Safari 4 seems to be more stable than 3.2.1, but I just don't care much for the interface changes.

At this time, Firefox v3 for the Mac is reportedly the best as far as security goes.

Camino and Firefox. No real rhyme or reason, except for Firefox on my laptop (1GHz G4 titanium) because (and this was not what I expected) it was faster than Camino.

cheers

Safari 4.0.1 (now).

Also been trying the alpha of Chrome. Not bad. Too much not yet implemented to really give it a tryout.

iCab 4.6. Safari done right. iCab by default is nearly as easy to use a Safari, but has many more features. Love it.

Camino is my primary browser.

I also use both Safari and FireFox for sites that I want to open and/or keep open throughout the day without mucking up my primary browser.

Safari doesn't work quite right for some sites and Firefox doesn't work quite right for other sites.

Secunia
There are no unpatched Secunia advisories affecting this product, when all vendor patches are applied..

The FireFox team does a really excellent job of quickly patching any vulnerability within it's browser.

And what does Secunia say about Safari 4.0.1?
