With the oleophobic screen, does it make sense to use a screen protector? I've got one on my orig iPhone and it has been a godsend...

I have ordered a new oleophobic screen protector to arrive this week
I will report on it later here.

I like the new screen "naked". But I have always had a screen protector before.

We will see

I take it a "regular" screen protector will ruin the oleophobic coating?

I don't think anyone knows if regular films will hurt the new screens. I doubt it. I'm using regular films and so far all is well.

I bought an Agent18 slim and it came with a screen protector. The Apple Store listed it as compatible with the new 3GS so I put it on. It's pretty nice. The case is thinenouch that it fits my incase belt case.

I just asked at the AppleStore. They agreed that since they are selling screen protectors for the 3G S, it is fine.

From what I have read, it is a coating, so while screen protectors might not be a problem if they are the cling/non-adhesive style that are the norm. I would avoid any cleansers like windex.

Apple has changed cleaning the screen to Use a dry cloth rather than a dampened cloth. This could also be to avoid the liquid sensor claims that have happened.
