Wow- Stan Musial is still alive!

No disrespect meant, but I was surprised. He's a real old-timer. Started in '41, retired after '63. And there he is at the All-Star game.

Good on him.

I bet most of these posters don't even know who he is.

I guess he's 88 now. Not too bad!

Red Schoendienst was out there tonight as well, and he must be similarly pretty old.

Watching the first few innings of the ASG, primarily to see Lincecum pitch, I am reminded of why I avoid watching baseball on Fox at all costs. I think they've actually gotten worse over the years!

fox is so bad, I can't even describe it. That network having baseball at all is a complete travesty...

Lincecum was off...only threw a couple of decent changeups..most he was missing up. The one he threw to (?) that caused that dribbler in front of the plate was nasty.

(?) was Twins catcher Joe Mauer.

Saint Cloud, Minnesota, where the weather is wonderful even when it isn't.

Lincecum's pitching motion didn't look right to me tonight. Nerves or something.

Giants starting pitchers never seem to do well in the All-Star Game. (Except for Jason Schmidt in '03.) I still get bad flashbacks of Atlee Hammacker to this day. Maybe it was for the best that Matt Cain missed the game...

Lincecum was embarrassingly bad. There seems to be a All-Star curse for Giants pitchers, William Van Landingham was worthless after he got all dinged up in a All-Star game. I just hope Lincecum's next start will be his usual awesomeness and that he was just nervous with being the starting pitcher on Tuesday.

Did you see the guy from the Royals though? I think his name was Grienke or something like that. He had a wicked little action on the end of the pitch that looked sort of like Riveria's stuff.
