Mini 10v screen resolution conundrum/XP question

Sorry 'bout the Dell post . . . I tried not to but I'm stuck.
The 10v has a native screen of 1024x576-- it seems the only resolutions options available assume 1024x600.
The problem is that lots of windows project off the bottom if the screen and can't be adjusted so that the bottom is visible-- usually just a nuisance but currently I can't view .pdfs because the frikkin' "accept" button to install Acrobat Reader is off the bottom of the screen and nothing I've tried has done anything but cancel the install (none of teh browsers have the capability built in and none of the other apps will read pdfs either until I install AR with its plug-ins).
Using XP SP3 . . .
Would appreciate any solutions I may not be thinking of. Hoping to keep it w/ windows and not put OSX on it.

It was written for the Asus EEE, but I successfully used Astray on my mini 9 - it MAY work on a 10v also - YMMV.

Or, if that doesn't work, install Leopard and use ScaleResolution

Found it on another site, but it only offers 600 vertical with 1024 horizontal. I don't see any way to dial it in-- you can only choose from a list of choices.

Did you edit the "AsTray.ini" file to include the resolutions you want to use? AsTray Plus instructions here
