did your sleep pattern change? do you sleep less than usual?

I know someone who used to sleep very little during final exams and his fingernails grew much faster, then everything went back to normal (until the next round of exams)

I thought I was imagining things. i noticed the same thing a couple of years back. Don't think there was much of a diet change and I've always gotten little sleep. I can't go more than 2-3 days without it starting to bug me. I figured it was just 'cos I was getting older.

My nails have always grown very fast, which bugs me greatly, and they're also very hard. Mine rarely break, but when they do the snap is audible. I never realized it was anything I should be worried about! Louie's nails grow fast, too. Maybe it's the water? smiling smiley What's the big deal?

Not a big deal except I have better things to do other than cut my nails every couple of days. Ok, I don't really... it's just laziness.

That probably had more to do with the drugs than anything else.

The shorter you want to keep your nails the more annoying it is. Being a female, I can get by longer between filings, although I don't like having long nails. It also seems like one day they're still acceptable and the next they're out of control - kind of like my hair, although I wish it would grow a bit faster. Do you suppose there's a way to transfer some of the energy from my nails to my hair?

Mine have always grown fast & they've always been too soft to be of any real use so I keep them filed short. Given any chance to bend back & break, they will.

I wonder if this qualifies me for a handicap parking sticker?

I guess you have to define "fast". Mine have always grown quickly. I have to trim mine every 3 days or so. I just trim 'em while I'm walking to work in the 1/4 mile long parking lot. Swiss army knife scissors, nail file, done.. They've always grown quickly. They're also very strong. I also heal very quickly, and bone breaks also seem to heal quickly. I mean like almost sci-fi preternaturally quickly, a small cut stops bleeding in less than a minute, and the cut is gone in about 2 days. I've been told that it's a genetic trait found most often in people of Irish descent.

My youngest son has the same problem. If he doesn't trim his nails for two weeks, it's like the Curse of Fu Manchu.

On the bright side, I'll have way more potential to know what my future holds through onychomancy.

cbelt3 I was imagining you trimming your toenails on the walk to work... I guess you meant your fingernails.
